The purpose of River’s Edge is to provide a nurturing farm environment where children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18 can develop their spiritual, mental, and social well-being. As a Christian organization, our core purpose is to share the hope, love, and saving grace of Jesus Christ in a broken world. We do this by matching youth with mentors and providing a safe place for them to explore the beauty of creation and grow together. Youth are enrolled in an 11-week program where they are paired with a mentor who will walk alongside them, striving to achieve their goals while simultaneously fostering a trusting relationship.

Together, mentor and youth will explore the farm and the variety of activities available. Each session varies, depending on the interests of the pairing. The mentor makes an effort to create learning opportunities and incorporate valuable life skills. We hope that each child will experience God’s love through the mentoring relationship and will embrace the source of that love, Jesus Christ.

Our mentorship program is free of charge and is offered every winter, spring, summer, and fall. Each block consists of one session per week for 11 consecutive weeks (excluding holidays). Enrollment forms are now being accepted for our next block starting in March 2026. Email  info@riversedge.ca
