Mentor
Mentorship Changes Lives
Our mentorship program involves working one-on-one with youth in various activities such as interacting with horses, engaging in farm-related tasks, exploring the outdoors, and embarking on adventures. An ideal mentor should be able to connect with the child or youth on their level, regardless of their age, developmental stage, religion, or culture. The mentor does not need to have all the answers to life’s big questions, but should be willing to listen, empathize, and share the love of Jesus Christ.
Requirements:
- Must be willing to sign off on River’s Edge statement of faith and display the lifestyle of a Christian witness.
- Have a personal and healthy relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Experience with children and youth.
- Must be able to commit for to one 11-week block.
- Fall (September-November)
- Winter (December-March)
- Spring (March-June)
- Summer (July-August)
- First aid and CPR certification would be an asset.
Any individual interested in becoming a mentor must begin by completing the Mentor application and sign our release of liability waiver form. Please fill out the forms and submit them once completed. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@riversedge.ca.
